One will become a thousand

I often think of that scripture in Isaiah 60:22 where it says ‘A little will become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation. I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time.’

What do you think God is saying here? He is encouraging us not to go by sight. Very often we go by sight in most things; we predetermine things based on what things look like. We judge using our eyes. God wants to get us away from such thinking; because this perspective kills and strangles what God is about to do. It robs the very blessing that is about to break out. Many times, what God does is hidden; it always starts hidden and obscure. You cannot see it; you cannot smell it; you cannot feel it. And so if you are one of those people who has to feel, smell, even taste, before you commit, you will lose out. Can you imagine losing out on what God is about to do. Can you imagine losing out on the potential blessing! I say potential because potential is stored until used. It is stored up. And so ‘one becoming a thousand,’ means the blessing of one thousand being stored up in one! You see one! God sees one thousand!

It took me a while to see what God meant. And now I see, I refuse to look by sight. I refuse to rely on my own understanding. I refuse to be hindered by my eyes and other physical elements. What I had thought was not enough, was good for God. What I had thought was not moving fast enough, was moving along just fine for God. He did not see things like I had.

Surely a small one will become great! Amen! Can you see that? Do you believe it? Can it be true? Yes, very much so. It will very well be. Why? Because God promises to hasten it in His time. Lord, thank You for opening our spirit eyes.
