Remodel your heart

The storms of life build character in us. Are the storms of life closing in all around you? Does it seem that darkness is blocking light from filtering in and you’ve lost your vision and hope is slowly fading away? If so, it is time to do some remodeling of the heart. Ask yourself if you are following after God’s heart or the heart of man. Our own hearts are very deceitful and cause us a lot of pain. We are so busy trying to do everything and being fixer-uppers that we miss the One that can do the remodeling without fail.

As long as we live, there will be storms. The storm itself is not the worst part, it is the surge afterwards. Will we be changed or will we be the same? Are you ready to move some old things out and move some new things in? Talk to Jesus and ask Him to remodel your heart and restore your hope. His love for you is full-proof and He will not lead and drive you down the wrong rivers of life. If you don’t hear Him speaking with you, ask Him to speak to you clearly, so you can hear Him when He speaks to you. Spend alone time with Jesus. He is waiting for you to take that step. I know personally that God does not fail. He changed my life and He can change your life.

Acts 27 tells us that Paul, a godly man and a follower of Jesus, warned the men that it would be a very dangerous and damaging time for them to set sail from Crete. They did not listen to the voice of Paul, who followed after God’s voice; bit listened to the voice of man. They could have been spared all the trouble they encountered out of their disobedience. I believe God did some remodeling of their hearts, and they were greatly changed when the storm came their way.

I pray that you will draw closer to God, hear God and obey, so that you will not endure a lot of pain that could have been avoided.
