Do you have God’s wisdom, understanding and knowledge?
There are three things we need to have to be established and prosperous in our lives according to Proverbs 24: Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established, and by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
We need wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Of course these elements come from God. And yet we must desire them and covet them, and ask God for them.
Many times would you want to embark on a project; maybe start a business, or start a degree, or move to a new city, how do you know you are making the right decision? You can’t. However, if you have the wisdom of God, the fear of God to listen to Him, obey Him and follow Him, then in the midst of that decision making, you will be led by God. A new move does not have to be a pitfall; it does not have to lead to a crisis; it does not have to harm us. When we have an understanding of God, we become established. We lay the ground and build on it. We make moves through the help of God. We do not stop at foundation setting, we build. We must be established. Think along those lines; you must be established. Are you established? Are you firm? Are you strong? Are you courageous? Do you have fruit?
I believe it will be difficult for us to bear fruit in our lives if we do not have a knowledge of God. Yes, having a knowledge of God means knowing Him. I mean really knowing God. Knowing Him will fill our lives with God’s pleasant riches. We are not supposed to be poor, in constant lack, constant failure, constantly impoverished, and constantly unhappy stumbling from one disaster into the other. No, that is not God. Knowing God truly brings a filling of His riches in our lives. It fills us with joy, peace, and even confidence that He will help us through. Knowing God eradicates desperation and hopelessness. It confounds the big and gigantic problems of life; in fact knowing God levels those things. It tears at them; it reduces them.
We must have all three: the wisdom of God; the understanding of God and the knowledge of God.
Do you have all three?
