I gave God the thumbs up today

I was driving home today, and my mind swirled with all the good that God has done for me and my family. My mind boggled under the insane love that God pours out over us. I could not think of it all, because God is just so loving, so faithful and so true. The more I thought of all God had done, I became overwhelmed. I cried so hard, I wondered if I would be able to see my way home. I wept at such an intense love; I wept at such a caring love; I wept at such an on-time God; I wept passionately because of a loving God who CAN GIVE MEANING IN THIS LIFE.

I took my drive slow, because to interrupt my thoughts would be robbery. I did not care to get home in a hurry. I took my time; allowed other drivers to get in front of me. I followed a huge truck, many drivers had no patience and sped by. I kept following, not the truck, but my heat to follow Jesus. I was in another world, where the things and cares of the world would have no power. I was thinking of God, meditating on His loving kindness. And then I wept again.

And then I started giving God the thumbs up. I could not do it enough! I gave God the thumbs up for so many things. I gave Him the thumbs up for keeping me and my family; I gave Him the thumbs up for feeding us and clothing us; I gave Him the thumbs up for a sane mind; I gave Him the thumbs up for being able to walk, run, carry, sit, stand, laugh, even cry, spend, drink coffee! Yes, for being able to enjoy a cup of Starbucks coffee. I gave Him the thumbs up for my friends, and all those I love; my friends; my acquaintances. I gave Him the thumbs up for being able to write. And yet the number of thumbs could never match. I looked crazy, maybe. But I kept giving the thumbs up.

Yes, because my mind was boggled with His intense passion for me.
