How will they know you were here?
Go and walk on the beach; any beach. Watch your feet meet the sand. And then look back at where you have been and you will see that your feet has left well defined prints. In fact you can trace where you have been.
I believe that is life. Everyday our lives make a print on this earth. We make prints everyday of our lives. The type of print we make depends on us. A day will come when we can no longer make those prints. But now is the time to make them. Now is the time to make prints that impact and bring change. Think about it for moment, what type of print are you making? And if someone else were to be given the opportunity to look at your prints, would they be able to learn from you? Will they learn how to love? Will they learn how to show mercy? Will they learn how to tell the truth? Will they learn how to forgive? Will they learn how to give without asking anything back? Will they learn how to build others up? Will they learn how to love God and love others? If your life were a book opened in years to come, what will your reader read? A well written book?
A well written book does not mean a book without mistakes. It does not mean a book that is perfect. A well written book is one that is able to capture downs and ups; mistakes and victories; tears and laughs; sin and godly sorrow; repentance and submission to God. A well written book is one that shows a life progressively being yielded and used by God. A well written book when read should and must inspire love, compassion, and a desire to want to do better. Our print on this life with the help of God should and must inspire someone else to want to place their feet where ours once was. Yes, not because we led perfect lives, but because we pursued to do the will of God.
