I know Your glory awaits
I look to the mountain. At the top is where Your glory dwells. I will no longer look at the incline, the struggles, the trials, the hardships as something to pray away, for I know where they lead. I know where I am headed. They prepare me. They strengthen my weak humanity, and they weaken my haughty spirit. With each small victory, my faith and hope grows. Even when I cannot see You, I will take joy in this climb. After all, it is You who made this mountain. You planned out resting places, perfectly timed; and You are patient when I stop on my own. You wait out my frustrations and encourage my doubts. The higher we climb, the better the view; but I know what awaits me at the top is far more beautiful.
So, I will not settle or be content with where I stand when I am tired. I will not let my heart be persuaded. I will love this mountain. I know Your glory awaits.
