In the garden

I pray that you are in a peaceful place of rest at this time. I know that these days are very troubling for many people and I want to impress upon your hearts that there is a place where you can go and find rest. It is in the arms of Jesus. He is our comforter and our helper in time of need.

Do you ever feel like you are in a speeding boat, the throttle is stuck and you can’t slow the boat down? Maybe you are on a runaway horse that’s out of control, you’re very frightened because you do not know what is about to happen to you or where you might end up. Perhaps you are on a plane falling out of a sky and your life is flashing before your very eyes, and you are thinking this may be the end of my destination. It could be a stray bullet coming straight at you and you can’t move out of the line of fire fast enough. Suddenly, you wake up! You realize it was just a dream. These things describe a troubled mind that is not walking in God’s perfect peace or not in the place of rest.

I hear God saying, ‘Whoa! Slow down! It is time to hold up, fold up, and know when to walk away from things that have your life in a topsy turvy !’

If your life is in such disarray, God is speaking toy you. ‘Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the heathen. I will be exalted in the earth.’ Psalms 46:10.

When things seem to be closing in all around us or choking the life out of us, it can affect us in dreams, thoughts, attitudes and our everyday life.

God did not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, love and a sound mind according to 2 Timothy 1:7 . We are not to be slave to fear. He tells us not to be dismayed for He goes before us to prepare the way. We are to be of good cheer that whatever is out of order in our lives, He will turn it the right side up. In order for Him to do this, we must make a firm decision about who we will serve.

God has given us a free-will, and He will not take it from us. He gives us the opportunity to get it right, and then He will do whatever He has to do.

It is time to take a walk in the garden with Jesus. There will be beautiful and vivid colors of flowers and fragrances like you have never experienced before. They will be trees and greenery of all kinds as well. Peace will surround you as you listen to the chirping of the birds. Relaxing and refreshing as you watch species of animals running and frolicking in the midst. It is such a tranquil place, where you can go a your eyes are opened wide to the wonderful things God has created for us to enjoy in life. It is a secret place, and yet we must learn to go there. We can go and lay everything at His feet because He loves us so.

If you want that place where God has prepared for you today, tell Him today how much you need Him.
