No co-piloting with God
Can you imagine a clustered room? Leaving stuff everywhere; with the intention of getting at the mess later. And yes, never getting to those things. When we put off giving our lives to Christ; giving our pain to Him; walking with Him and letting Him take the reins in our lives – then we will make a mess of things. And as time goes on, just imagine that person tripping on those undone, un-cleared away debris.
Why are they tripping? They are tripping because there is no light to see the debris and avert them. They are tripping because light and darkness cannot co-exist, and they will have to choose one and stay committed to it. And in a case where there is no commitment to light, then darkness prevails even when one tries to do what is right some of the time. It is when we give our lives to Christ and fill our lives with God that the light of God comes to us and glows in us and through us. Then the light has come; and we can see clearly. We can see the debris of life. We can see the pitfalls. We can see the snares the enemy has planted. We can see His ploys and schemes and we are not easily fooled because we are being led by the light.
There is just something about the light of God; it is all knowing and all sufficient. It is able to lead us to safety. It is able to lead us to the right place and into the prefect will of God. It is able to see ahead of us and see behind us. It is able to see around us. That is why those who are led by God are safe. I do not understand it when people say they belong to God and are fearful. Why? When you have God and love Him, all fear is cast out. He is in charge now. He is leading now. He is in control now.
Now if you have given Him some areas and held some back, then He is not really leading you is He? A lot of people make Him a part time leader. The word of God says in Isaiah 42:8 this: I am the Lord; that is My name. I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols.
God will not yield His glory to another, and certainly not to us. And neither does He want to share His praise with us either. And so no co-piloting with God. If you do not want to trip and keep tripping, then let the light of God fill your life up and lead you.
