Taking God at His word

This is where my heart is – to take God at His Word. I take it literally that it must be true. I take it literally that it has no shade of gray in it. It is plain and simple. He spoke it because He can do it. I truly take Him at His Word.

It is just like Genesis 1:3 says: Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. I do not doubt this fact. I believe as He spoke the word, light came. It did not only come, it drove out darkness with its power. God’s Word has power! Yeah!! It has power!

I truly believe also Isaiah 55:11 which says this: So shall My Word be that goes forth from My mouth. It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please. And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. The Word of God will go and accomplish what God pleases in our lives. The Word of God will prosper in our lives and achieve the very thing it was purposed for. It will not meander; it will not go astray. The Word of God cannot be lost! The Word of God is meant to prosper; to take root; to grow because of our faith and to bear fruit. Oh, may His Word bear fruit in your life today!

I want to encourage you today, take God at His Word. It looks impossible; I know. It looks unachievable; I know! It seems too late; I know! But God is God! He is God. Take Him at His Word. And because you take Him at His Word, that Word will surely come to pass. Not only will it come to pass, it will be swift also according to Psalm 147:15.
