The Petals of God’s presence

Standing in your presence,
In the sweet freshness as we praise,
Is like being surrounded and encompassed by beautiful flower petals.

Breathing in, I smell the sweetness of you,
Breathing out, I float in your love.
Clouds filled with tenderness—the gentleness of your grace.
They surround me; enclose me, encasing me like a bubble.

I feel unencumbered as I release my fears and fall back.
Trusting in your open arms of love, I feel safe.
You are here. Your love comforts me.
I am awakened to new aspects of your wonder.

Standing in awe of you, I don’t want to leave.
I don’t want to go back outside the petals;
Where life is so cold and hard and difficult.

Gently, it’s as if you place a petal of your presence, in the palm
of my hand; saying, “Take this with you, I am always with you”.

I’m reminded when life is hard and cold,
You are still with me…you are always here.
