Straddling the fence
Today is a new day and a new beginning.
If you are teetering back and forth on the fence, running hot and cold or perhaps lukewarm, then you are straddling the fence. The word of God says a double-minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1:8.
Maybe you have set expectations for yourself that just seem unattainable and the more you try to reach them the further away they seem. The reason for that is because you are trying to accomplish them in your own strength.
Are you a person that sets one foot in the world and one foot in the kingdom? You cannot have your cake and eat it. We are nothing without God, but in Christ who strengthens us we can do all things. God can do exceedingly, abundantly above all things that we could ask or think. He is able.
What does a man profit if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul? He profits nothing. Matthew 16:26
Is fear and unbelief dominating your life? Do you have concerns that God may ask things of you that you’re not sure you can be faithful to do? Perhaps you’re just not ready to give up some things. Is this you? I say to you, you are spinning your wheels. You are taking one step forward and two steps back. You will never be able to attain your goals and be successful in life without the peace of God.
I hope this letter today opens your eyes to see that we need him. I encourage you to invite Jesus into your heart is you haven’t already. He wants to spend time with you. Come to know Him and see for yourself how good He really is. Jesus is the Vine and we are the branches. We must connect to the Vine to have the fullness of life.
Sometimes we just have to be willing to give up some things that are holding us back from crossing the finish line. If that is you, I encourage you to remove the one foot out of the world and plant both feet firmly into the kingdom of God. I pray that you will choose today who you will serve, and come on over to His winning side. Jesus is life everlasting.
