God’s plan

Matthew 20:16 says So the last shall be first and the first last; for many are called but few are chosen.

God has a plan and purpose for everyone of us. He knows our beginning from the end. He knows those who will walk in obedience, who He can trust; who will be willing to be used by Him and those who will go all the way with Him or fall by the wayside.

There are many great examples in the Bible; Moses being one of them. God called to Moses out of the midst of the burning bush. God informed Moses that He was sending him on a mission to go to Pharaoh to bring the children of Israel out of Egypt, out of bondage. Moses was to lead them into a land flowing with milk and honey, but he missed the mark. He did not succeed in accomplishing the mission God had planned for his life. You see that he did not get to take the children of Israel into the promised land because of his disobedience. Obedience is better than sacrifice according to 1 Samuel 15:22. Moses angered God in the wilderness and he died before completing his mission. God had already prepared for someone else to complete the mission. Joshua was chosen to take God’s people into the promised land.

I encourage you to read Exodus starting at chapter 3 and let God speak to your heart.

King David was a great man of God who accomplished much but along the way disappointed God and did not get to build a house for God. Solomon, his son, was chosen to build a house for God. Many fail and many succeed. Which one will you be?

Philippians 3:14 says I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. This should be what we all should be striving for, so that when we stand before God, we will hear Him say, ‘good and faithful servant.’ Glory to God!

That is what I want to hear when all has been said and done! I hope you do too. If you hope to succeed and receive the blessings of God unfold in your life, let Him lead and guide you all the way.
