A recording device
I wonder what would happen if our computers and smartphones could talk. These programmable devices with huge capacities to record all our thoughts in email, texts etc. These machines act as our second brain and heart. Over the months and years they have captured our thoughts, feelings, moods, determinations and intentions. They have captured lies, anger, mistrust, fights etc. They have captured love letters, job resumes, loan applications etc. They represent our lives. There is no lying. There is no adding. And no taking away. Our web browsers’ history detail our web footprints. They tell us which websites we have visited. This digital chronology of our actions, emotions and ways are indeed a memorial of the state of our hearts. And knowing that there is nothing hidden from our God, then He sees our browser also.
And so imagine your emails are being recorded for later study. Imagine your phone logs and conversations are being recorded for future referencing and looking into. Just imagine that your texts will be looked into and a determination will be drawn upon reading them. Just note, nothing is hidden about you to God. He reads your browser everyday. He reads your texts messages. He knows all you have said. And yet He knows more. He knows why you said what you said.
A lot of us think God is far, and does not know what is happening with us. We think He does not know when we have sinned, disobeyed, are in pain. I believe He knows what is happening with us real time; and He knows what will happen to us before it happens. Scripture says this in Psalm 139:1-6 LORD, you have examined me and know all about me. You know when I sit down and when I get up. You know my thoughts before I think them. You know where I go and where I lie down. You know everything I do. LORD, even before I say a word, you already know it. You are all around me—in front and at the back— and have put your hand on me. Your knowledge is amazing to me; it is more than I can understand.
I love God being around me. I pray that my trail will honor and praise Him. I pray that your trail will honor Him today. I pray that your trail will glorify Him. Yes, your text messages, your phone conversations, your emails, your web browsers etc.
God knows us so well. He knows those deepest cares. He knows our heart.
