Come to the feast

Thanksgiving Day is a special time to rejoice and celebrate in honor of our God as we reflect back over the year and give thanks for His goodness, faithfulness, all the many blessings and benefits we have received, and how He has kept us in all things. Ephesians 5:20 tells us to give thanks always for all things unto and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is a time to give thanks and honor our Father in heaven for all He has done for us through the year.

God has blessed us above and beyond. This is the season to spread some Jesus love around to others. We can all make a difference in helping others in love, kindness, compassion, longsuffering and patience. These are fruits of the spirit and should be a part of our lives everyday. I encourage you to go forth, bear fruit and let it remain in you.

We are blessed to be a blessing. In acts 20:35 Jesus tells us it is more blessed to give than to receive.

Jesus is the light of the world, and I pray we will all make an effort to reach out to others who are in need or suffering so that his light will shine through us.

If you are someone who has strayed from God or maybe has never known Him, I pray that you will open up your heart and invite Him in today. Let Him come in and change you. I know you will be glad because your life will never be the same again. God gives hope to the hopeless, He restores all that has been lost; He loves you and He cares. He wants to lavish you with His love and He will help you put your life back together again. He will turn your ruins into beauty.

There is a new year coming up before us in a few months, and I truly believe our latter days will be better than our former. There are still greater things to be done. Be encouraged in the Lord and have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Remember, stuff the turkey and not your stomach too much!
Always come before God with thanksgiving in your heart and praises in your mouth for who He is and what He has done. As we come to the feasting table, with Jesus there will be more than enough for everyone.
