Can God feel your hurts?

Can God feel your hurts?

I often wonder if God can feel my feelings. You know those fears and uncertainties. I wonder if He can feel our pain and anguish. I wonder if He can feel our joy and exhilaration; just like you would see a smile on your child’s face and be comforted. Or maybe when you see the tear-stained face of your child and your heart sinks for them. A bit like watching your friend get married; you see her face light up. You watch her joy as she experiences the wonderful moment in her life. And then just imagine that same friend talking of a pending divorce with heart-ache. Imagine her joy-drained face. What does it do to you?

That is the same way our Father is. He watches us; He senses our feelings; and He looks to bring peace to our stormy waters. Regardless of what has caused the fear; the worry; the pain; the wound etc. To God it is all pain. He is a good Father. He is a very good Father. Our pain affects Him; just like the pain of the children of Israel affected Him. He heard their groans and did something about it. He moved everything to free them from under the pain of their strain. Expect that same God to move for you. He will move heaven and earth to take your strain away. And so yes, He feels you. Yes, He cares. Yes, He will do something about your pain, so you know joy.
