Life is fragile

Life is fragile

Life is like a dish
Though beautiful and hand painted
It cannot withstand the punishment of a blow, a jab, a storm, a break
Life is like a broken dish after a blow
Like a million puzzle pieces
Life is so weak that it drops and smashes into little pieces under the weight of life itself
It shatters and all shatter with it
Life has a fault-line
One that experiences will create
This fault-line is hard to overcome
It is deep in the grain of the dish
It will one day break
It will one day fracture
And yet when you know Him
When you trust Him
When you give yourself to Him
He will gather your smithereens
He will gather your many pieces
Your many fractures
He will fill your fault-line
He will make you new
And heal your life
