If you step out, God steps up for you

Many people refuse to step out. They are afraid to step out.

This Sunday gone, church put an appeal out for people to give some more so that a need could be met. This need was pressing on our hearts. And praise God for obedient people; a couple heard the plea and decided to give a generous amount over and beyond their tithe and offering to meet the need. The husband raced to the ATM to fulfill the request God had placed on their hearts. Never mind that the money they gave was for a vacation planned that they had so being looking forward to. But they both had come to the place that nothing, not even their desires and promised pleasures would get in the way of them serving God truthfully.

Well there was the money gone. So you would think. But God! On Tuesday( two days after!)the woman received a phone call from a distant friend, who said, ‘God has been speaking to me about you. And last night He told me to send you some money.’ And when the woman said how much she was to send, it was the exact amount they had given the Sunday before. The lady said, ‘I am not implying that you are hard-up; but God told me to send you this money. So go to WalMart and collect 500 dollars.’

Do you want God to be in your business and life to that depth? Then obey. Start tithing; start giving. Make God’s house your business. Make His tabernacle your concern. Get involved. Find something to do. Do not be a passive Christian, be an involved Christian.
