Prayer

It occurred to me that God neither cares nor worries. He is all knowing. Our cares become those things He responds to. Because He cares for us He responds to all the cares we cast upon Him.

God cares for you. He cares about what you care about. And so if your care is the government, the environment, criminal activity, your children, your spouse, family members, friends, finance, relationships about all that too. All the things you care about and cast on Him in prayer, He responds to, because He cares about you.

He cares about your concerns, your burdens. Those that you travail about, intercede for, cry out about. The Lord takes those things up and responds. Your tears are the only thing He holds on to, putting them in a bottle. He doesn’t hold on to your sins, your shortcomings, weaknesses, failings. He is the Redeemer, the Restorer. He is the Righteous Judge, the Healer, the Deliverer, the Resolver and the Resolution.

Think about the greatness of the universe and how it appears endless. God’s greatness is unsearchable, beyond measure and His love for us is profound. His love is as awesome and as terrible as the banners of the army of angels. For those who love Him, He is your Refuge, your Protector. He answers when you call on Him.

Jesus waits to hear your cares, concerns, needs and burdens. He has none of His own for His work is finished.
