Bread vs. Seed

Bread vs. Seed

God releases many graces upon our lives. One of such graces is the ability to give. This is a powerful grace, because it leads to enlargement down the road. Despite His release, this grace is closely linked to you being a sower. God has recently been putting many people on my heart to pray for. He instructs me to cover them and continually speak prophetically into their lives. I see that God is willing to release His grace into their lives. And because of this I am reminded of what 2 Corinthians 9:10-11 says: Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

Why don’t you take this scripture this month and make it yours? In fact I challenge you to try this word, and in fact all that is in God’s word. He gives seed to the sower. You have to have a heart to sow first before He chooses to give you seed. Many people take their seed and eat it. They gobble it down, and wonder about their fruit. You cannot eat your seed. God knows our heart. He knows if we are seed eaters; and if so, He won’t give us seed. He will give us bread for food. However bread is vastly different from seed. Seed is what can be stored. Seed is what can be enlarged. Bread cannot be stored and enlarged; once eaten it is gone! And so if all you have or ask for is bread, you cannot store and you cannot enlarge.

Please note, for you to have the fruits of a seed, you must first sow. You must have the mentality of a farmer, who sows. He puts his seed in the ground and burys it. Spiritually, the farmer leaves it in the hands of God. And then trusts that all his hard work will be rewarded during the harvest season. That is who we are. Many Christians eat their seed. Many are fruitless, all because they are so in the now. They overlook the future. They overlook the will of God which is to enrich us in every way so that we can be generous on every occasion, and through our generosity thanksgiving will be made to God.

I encourage you to give this month of June. Do not be bread eaters only. God will use your seed to enrich you in every way: your finances, your health, your family etc. Just think of it! The word says enrich you in every way! Amen!
