Mother

Dear Mother

Thank you for all the work you have done

Thank you for all the work you do

Thank you for all the work you will continue to do

Work unseen

Work unthanked

Work despite yourself

Work despite your own dreams and aspirations

Work despite your fatigue

Yet you do and have done and will do

All because you are “Mother”

I love you

Thank you for believing in me

And still believing…

Though others do not

You see…

You see the diamond in the rough

You know…

You believe for it…

I love you

Thank you for praying me out of the pit

Thank you for your bent knees in prayer

Thank you for your rejoicing heart in my victories

I love you

You do it because of what?

Your unconditional love for me…

You do it without pay

Mother, you just do…

I love you

I respect you

I thank you

I admire you

I love you
