Pride and humility

I feel led of the Lord to write to you concerning pride and humility. God has impressed upon my heart that sometimes we cross over the line and get off course. We get busy and forget to observe what is going on around us.
Let’s talk about pride a little bit. Pride is not a good thing and comes before destruction. Pride in exalting ourselves above God and others; it is falling into dangerous territory. Whereas taking pride in what we do to the best of our ability and to God is a great thing. Taking pride in what and who we are is not pleasing to God.
God is no respecter of persons. He loves us all the same. A title does not make a difference in the eyes of God. We all are a gift to be used among men as we come into the fullness of God. We are not to think we are better than anyone else. Don’t think more highly of yourself than you ought to. God has given us all talents, that as the body of Christ, we should be using for the glory of God.
Instead of lifting ourselves up, we should be lifting others up. We should be in a humbling state of mind, being sensitive to the pain of others who are struggling in the world. We are all God’s children and we need each other.
We live in a difficult world, my friend. This world is facing a great adversity and devastating occurrences can happen anytime! The enemy is walking around as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. We must focus on God at all times and strive to be like Him. God promises to rebuke the devourer for our sakes.
Look around you and when you see someone hurting put yourself in their shoes and say to yourself , ‘that could be me.’ Humble yourself and have compassion to help them if you can.
In Isaiah 14:12 and Revelations 12:7-9 the devil fell into condemnation. He was cast down from heaven along with his angels because he exalted himself above God. May we not suffer this fate in Jesus’ name.
Cast pride into the sea and practice walking in humility more and more.
