The Cross is so beautiful, so precious,
Despite the blood that dripped down
Despite the fate of One so pure
Despite the spitting and the blows and the jeers
Despite the grieving words spoken
Yes, the Cross remained beautiful
Lovely
And saving
Despite the tears shed at the foot of that Cross
And the pain endured at the foot of the Cross
By those who love YOU
Despite this
The Cross was and is still so lovely
