Little choices

Little choices

What little choices are you making? Because they are little choices; their impact are not quickly seen. They are like little ripples of water. One ripple is not paramount; however when you have a great number of ripples, you take notice.

It is like a little sin; if there is anything like it! We quantify it as little, but with God it is big! It is huge! It should not be tolerated.

I imaging throwing a pebble into a pond; you begin to see ripples. The ripples in time settle, and then you throw another pebble; in time the pond settles. However you are making the water murky. The more you throw in these pebbles; the shadowy the water becomes.

Now relate that pond to your life. The effect of sin in our lives due to our choices can be likened to a ripple in the pond. In time it settles. A lie here, a flirt there; a gossip here; anger outburst there; they all add up to become that shadowy and murky water.

What we must do is resist sin. Resist those little choices that will eventually pollute and take hold. We must be aware that no sin is little; because sin is designed to take down. Sin is designed to destroy.  Sin is designed to steal God’s righteousness from us. There is no little sin. And there is no covered sin since God sees it all.

I hope that in all you do, you consider your little choices.
